What should a city plaza of the twenty-first century look like? It contains city-scale components to accommodate the extensive needs of events. It forms a robust network with its environment. Moreover, it is context-sensitive. This is the purpose of Kütahya City Plaza. Together, the impressive timber shelf atop the brick amphitheatre, the underground parking, and the service volumes help people celebrate and remember. There are connections to lively streets, slowed traffic, and extensive pedestrian areas to welcome citizens to their shared platform. The historical fountain and bank building, the vase sculpture that serves as the city's symbol, and paving patterns are cultural elements that illustrate Kütahya's history.
This project assisted me in enhancing my city-scale thinking. I learned how to locate large elements by establishing relationships between them, how to level large areas with surrounding streets and buildings, and how to plan the traffic flow. In addition, when we concentrated on the underground parking, I researched various types of structures and parking solutions in order to provide the optimal solution.
